The Food Service Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents. This position is responsible for monitoring and recording the proper temperature of food, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and receiving payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and record proper temperature of food
- Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
- Prepare and serve food items

- Clean and sanitize equipment
- Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently when necessary, and have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation processes. You will also need to be able to perform basic math and read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious customer service experience, retail counting, and reconciliation of money, as well as knowledge of food service, are preferred. On-the-job training will be provided.
