Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Hutchinson Industries Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality products and implementing methods to improve quality in the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily activities of the shop floor to ensure the production of a quality product.
  • Work closely with Operators to ensure proper production and quality procedures are followed.
  • Recommend and implement methods to improve quality in the department.
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of shipments.
  • Communicate all quality issues to upper management.
  • Train Operators on new quality procedures and standards.
  • Conduct random workstation audits to ensure Operators are following procedures.
  • Document daily all quality issues within the plant.
  • Prepare reports that will be distributed and/or posted weekly for management to review.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing/assembly drawings.
  • Basic computer/PC skills.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.
  • HS Diploma or GED.

The employee frequently is required to sit; walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
