Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Technology Instructor to join our team at River Parishes Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality Welding courses, as well as serving on campus committees and advising students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach Welding courses
  • Meet College deadlines for attendance taking, grade submission, and learning outcomes assessment reporting
  • Serve on campus committees
  • Advise students
  • Assist with student recruitment efforts
  • Maintain a safe and orderly lab environment
  • Maintain lab equipment and inventory
  • Collaborate with business and industry partners to improve the Welding program
  • Consult with other College faculty and staff on issues relevant to student success
  • Monitor and document student performance

Requirements:

  • Three years of welding and cutting experience
  • Proficient in multiple welding processes
  • Certified Welder, Certified Welding Educator, Certified Welding Inspector, or OSHA Authorized Instructor preferred
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
