Position Overview: Judge Direct Placement is looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Food Safety Compliance Specialist to oversee and manage compliance initiatives within a dynamic food production environment. This position is crucial for ensuring that all compliance operations are executed efficiently, aligning with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise compliance operations, ensuring strict adherence to HACCP and food safety protocols.
- Review and maintain production documentation on a weekly and monthly basis as required by management.
- Assess training requirements and foster the development of team members to enhance their skills and awareness of food safety practices.
- Manage vendor documentation, including insurance, liability certificates, audit findings, and product specifications.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding company objectives and operational progress.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including FDA, USDA, SQF, and OSHA.
- Update and manage product labeling to meet regulatory standards.
- Address customer-related incidents and maintain comprehensive internal control records.
- Support internal reporting needs, including audit preparations and maintenance schedules.
- Oversee all Quality Control functions to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in compliance management, ideally within the food sector.
- HACCP Certification is preferred.
- SQF Certification is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, FDA, USDA, SQF, and OSHA regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
- Capability to identify training needs and nurture personnel development.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
