About the Role
Our client, a reputable CNC machining firm, is looking for a skilled CNC Technical Applications Specialist to enhance their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing detailed proposals and quotations for clients.
- Assessing tooling requirements, cycle times, materials, and machinery.
- Optimizing workflow processes.
- Creating comprehensive tool layout sheets that outline all necessary tooling and hardware for specific jobs on designated machine tools.
- Identifying inventory numbers for perishable tooling to assist operators in locating the correct cutting tools.
- Producing color-coded offset prints to guide machine operators in making precise adjustments to maintain part specifications.
- Updating layouts and offset prints to reflect process enhancements and modifications.
- Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshooting and repairing machinery as needed.
- Conducting machine setups during peak times or in the absence of designated setup personnel.
- Programming CNC machinery and overseeing process engineering tasks.
- Training team members on machine setup, operation, and repair for all CNC department machinery.
Compensation and Benefits:
In return for your expertise, you will receive competitive compensation commensurate with your experience, along with an attractive benefits package.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in machine programming.
- Proficient knowledge of machining processes and CNC machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT), and utilize inspection equipment and tooling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in creating CNC programs using Partmaker or Espirit CAD CAM software for various CNC turning centers and multispindle machines.
