Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist to contribute to our healthcare team.

The Respiratory Therapist will deliver and coordinate high-quality respiratory care as directed by a licensed physician, aiming to enhance the health and recovery of patients at our medical center.

Core Duties:
  • Administer a variety of respiratory therapies, including aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow respiratory therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assess patient conditions, utilizing sound judgment to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Engage in continuous education to stay updated on respiratory therapy practices and advancements.
  • Implement evidence-based practices, integrating research with clinical expertise for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate actively in daily patient rounds and communicate essential patient information during shift changes.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures and disease management techniques.
  • Develop therapeutic goals and care plans using established Respiratory Therapy Protocols.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited/AMA certified School of Respiratory Therapy; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred.

Licensure: Must be licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care.

Experience: Completion of general respiratory therapy orientation phases is required, with specific training in areas such as Pulmonary Function Lab, Sleep Center, ICU, NICU, or Pulmonary Rehab for advanced roles.

The role may involve exposure to various hazards associated with medical operations. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory, with additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) being optional.
