Overview

SAIC is on the lookout for a dedicated Security Analyst to support various aspects of security disciplines, including Personnel Security, DD254 Contract Guidance, and Outgoing Visits. This role involves studying and implementing federal security regulations pertinent to company operations. The Security Analyst will seek rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) activities, including the processing of clearances and visit requests for personnel.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all new hire in-processing related to security clearance and training briefings.
  • Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and CFR 117 requirements.
  • Provide guidance and instructions to employees regarding their security clearances and any necessary maintenance.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with SAIC Leadership, Program Managers, and all SAIC personnel.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively interfacing with various security agencies, customers, and senior management.
  • Stay updated with changes in industry requirements and training protocols.
  • Manage multiple projects in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Undertake additional assignments as required.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience, Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience, or a PhD/JD with no experience. An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Basic understanding of NISPOM/CFR 117 and other government regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in DISS, NBIS, e-APP, and SIMS.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Active Secret clearance with the capability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Familiarity with the Continuous Evaluation Program.
  • Sound and logical reasoning in decision-making.
  • Experience in team collaboration and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and coordinate activities within deadlines.
