Instruct students in the field of music education; lead choral ensembles and related activities; support the development and execution of unique musical events.



ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Certification:
Single Subject - Music or Multiple Subject with music authorization

Educational Background:

A bachelor's degree in music education or equivalent academic credentials that fulfill all necessary requirements for certification.


Experience Requirements:
Successful completion of student teaching is mandatory for certification.

Personal Attributes:
Professional appearance and demeanor that set a positive example for students. Strong physical and mental well-being.

Above-average endorsements from supervising educators or other professionals who have evaluated the personal qualities, academic performance, and teaching effectiveness of the instructor.


Skills Required:
Proficiency in piano performance and vocal abilities at an advanced level.

  • New educators joining the district must possess authorization from the State of California to instruct English Learners.
