Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer Specialist to join our team at the Ventura Unified School District. As a key member of our educational services department, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to coaches and staff in various school sports programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to students and staff, including injury prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement athletic training programs, including conditioning and strength training exercises.
  • Collaborate with coaches and staff to develop and implement sports medicine protocols.
  • Conduct in-service training and provide guidance to coaches and staff on athletic training best practices.
  • Work closely with school administrators to ensure compliance with athletic training regulations and policies.
Requirements
  • Valid Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) by the Board of Certification (BOC) of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in athletic training, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with coaches, staff, and students.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including students with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of athletic training software and technology.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish.
