Our Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a vital role in serving our patients. Their responsibilities include:

  • Administering prescribed medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN), and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Presenting medication to patients and observing ingestion or administering medication using specified procedures.
  • Taking vital signs or observing patients to detect responses to medication, and reporting any reactions.
  • Restocking medication inventories.
  • Providing direct patient care and ensuring resident safety by identifying potential hazards and emergency situations, and taking corrective action as needed.
