Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Processing Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Processing Assistant, you will be responsible for performing pre-analytic specimen processing, operating laboratory and office equipment, entering information and test orders into the laboratory computer system, responding to phone calls, resolving specimen-related issues, preparing reagents, managing supply inventory, providing training, and partnering with team members to create an inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform pre-analytic specimen processing and operate laboratory and office equipment
- Enter information and test orders into the laboratory computer system
- Respond to phone calls and resolve specimen-related issues
- Prepare reagents and manage supply inventory
- Provide training to others and partner with team members to create an inclusive work environment
- Associate degree in a health or science field preferred
- Lab assistant experience preferred
- Ability to be attentive to details and adhere to strict safety requirements
- Previous experience or knowledge of computers, keyboarding, telephone operations, and other office equipment
- Ability to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holidays, and weekend work assignments
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $29 and a full-time schedule with opportunities for advancement.
