Join Our Team as a Food Service Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Service Associate at Glens Falls Hospital. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to our patients and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and serve food and supplies to cafeteria customers while maintaining accurate portion control and adhering to recipes.
  • Interact directly with patients at the bedside to obtain menu selections and assemble patient food trays according to computerized assembly tickets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including daily sanitation procedures and proper food handling.
  • Assist with setup, decorating, meal delivery, and pickup for special functions within the hospital.
  • Respond to patient/customer satisfaction concerns and make appropriate decisions regarding suitable resolutions within the scope of the job.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare-based dietary role highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with many personalities, including employees, customers, and patients in a highly time-structured environment.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits

Glens Falls Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $17.25 to $22.50 per hour, commensurate with experience level, education, and certifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package to our active, full-time and part-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week.
