Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Track Coach to join our team at Galt Joint Union High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the development and implementation of the track and field program.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practices and competitions.
  • Develop and implement training plans for athletes.
  • Provide guidance and support to athletes in their development as track and field athletes.
  • Assist with the recruitment and retention of athletes.
  • Participate in coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with best practices in track and field coaching.

Requirements:

  • Must be knowledgeable in track and field.
  • Must be an effective communicator.
  • Previous high school track experience preferred.
  • Must have CIF Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate, Concussion in Sports Certificate, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate, Heat Illness Prevention, CPR/First Aid Certified.
