Position Overview:

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, is seeking applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Vascular Surgery. This role encompasses two available positions within the esteemed Department of Surgery, specifically in the Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.

Clinical Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will be responsible for the comprehensive care of patients with vascular conditions, including complex open and endovascular surgical procedures, as well as the management of both penetrating and blunt vascular trauma.

In this capacity, there may be opportunities to supervise medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to their education and training.

Educational Commitment:

In addition to delivering exceptional clinical care, the candidates will actively engage in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Research support may be available, contingent upon the candidate's experience and specific research interests.

Qualifications:

  • Board-eligible or Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
  • Eligibility for academic appointments at the University of Tennessee.
  • A strong commitment to quality clinical care, teaching, and research.
  • Additional Board eligibility or certification in Minimally Invasive Surgery is preferred.
