Job Summary

To ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet, we are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components, as well as the ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions and road-call repairs in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.
  • Document all work performed on Work Order (SAP) using Complaint, Cause, and Correction Format.
  • Learn and develop efficiency in all Maintenance Related Sysco Computer programs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or Equivalent.
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school.
  • Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
  • Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge Skills and Abilities.
  • ASE Certification - Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM & component mfg.
Experience
  • 1 year of experience with 2 Year Technical Degree OR 3 years of experience in Fleet Maintenance and Repair.
Professional Skills
  • Current and Valid Drivers License, CDL-A Preferred.
  • Basic Knowledge and skill of all vehicle systems and Components.
  • Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on all equipment.
  • Basic knowledge and skill in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG).
