Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain boilers, engines, and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Monitor and control boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels to prevent damage and ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, filter replacement, and soot removal.
  • Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and take corrective action to prevent downtime.
  • Record data and maintain logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Stationary Engineer, with a willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
  • HVAC Certification required.
  • 2nd class stationary engineer certification in Buffalo, NY.
  • Strong knowledge of boilers, steam systems, HVAC/R systems, and building automation systems.
  • Ability to calibrate and test thermostats and DDC controls.
  • Proficient in evacuation, recovery, and charging of refrigerants.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
