The successful candidate will serve as a clinical expert and healthcare provider, educator, collaborator, consultant, leader, and researcher for a specific patient population. They will utilize an evidence-based nursing practice framework within three spheres of influence: patient/family, nursing, and system/organization.

  • This role involves developing and maintaining nursing standards, standard order sets, and patient care protocols, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • The Clinical Specialist will participate in assessing, implementing, and evaluating clinical services for a designated patient population, using data to inform decision-making.
  • This position also involves supporting healthcare surveys and regulatory reviews, including The Joint Commission and CMS, to ensure compliance and maintain high-quality care.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in risk management, incorporating evidence into clinical activities and actively participating in research, EBP, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • As a key member of our team, they will lead high-visibility projects to improve hospital performance in areas like infection prevention, safety, compliance, and nursing practice.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, with an estimated annual salary of $124,000 - $150,000 based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Requirements include a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing, an active DC RN License, and 5 or more years of progressively responsible job-related experience in Nursing. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
