About the Role

The Maintenance Service Manager will lead a team of 15 technicians and supervisors servicing 106 properties throughout San Diego County. This is a leadership role that requires a strong service-orientation and the ability to meet the company's customer service and property maintenance obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform or through their team, have performed all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
  • Ensure exterior curb appeal of community and cleanliness of grounds.
  • Maintain high standards of resident service and relations.
  • Ensure that residents are provided with a clean, safe, well-maintained community.
  • Lead by example: team members are required to carry back belts, goggles and gloves in their possession at all times during work hours.
  • Ensure that maintenance requests are handled as quickly, efficiently and effectively as possible and always completed within 24 hours.
  • Ensure that the company's monthly preventive maintenance directives are adhered to, with regard to but not limited to; lighting, fire safety, pool/spa, life/safety hazards, and signage checks.
  • Assist and ensure team assists in performing timely and comprehensive apartment move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Monitor the team's requisite knowledge of the current condition/status of all vacant units.
  • Recommends measures to improve methods of operations, performance, safety and quality of service.
  • Performs on-call emergency service as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in property management as a Service Technician or Service Manager
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant Experience leading a large team
  • Supervisory skills
  • Experience with AppFolio strongly preferred
  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
  • Contractors License preferred
