Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician and Surgeon to join our team at the State of California. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical care and services to our clients in a secure treatment setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and services to clients in a secure treatment setting
  • Work under the general direction of the Medical Director
  • Perform assigned medical work in an assigned work location
  • May supervise and instruct medical personnel engaged in caring for forensic clients
  • Responsible for making professional decisions and performing an assigned phase of medical services
Requirements
  • Current Physician and Surgeon license
  • Completion of an internship in an approved hospital
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions

The position provides services within a secure treatment area which requires walking and standing in order to reach a specific designation. The position requires sitting and use of telephones and computers. Travel is required, and may travel to observe clients receiving treatment in another location or to court proceedings to testify in support of clinical assessments and/or documentation.
