Job Title: Change Consultant

Job Summary:

As a Change Consultant, you will play a key role in promoting commercial best practices and ensuring compliance with contracts to drive value from client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply commercial best practice throughout the life of a client engagement to drive value from the account.
  • Ensure Capgemini's compliance with the contract and provide advice on commercial and contractual matters to the sales and delivery teams.
  • Apply Capgemini's commercial best practice in the day-to-day management and administration of the account, partnering with various stakeholders.

Full Lifecycle Contract Management:

  • Ensure the delivery team understands the contractual obligations and provides advice and guidance on all matters relating to the contract.
  • Ensure that contractual obligations are fulfilled to maximize revenue and margin while reducing costs.
  • Proactively suggest options to drive out costs and increase revenue and margin.
  • Reduce risk and increase best practice across the delivery teams.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts to avoid disputes escalating.
  • Participate in and/or lead senior-level negotiations with internal and external customers for scope changes, new business lines, and contract renewals.

Typical Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate key contract obligations to delivery teams.
  • Provide advice on contractual obligations.
  • Provide coaching to delivery teams to ensure compliance with Capgemini's contractual obligations.
  • Implement commercial management best practice within the account, including maintaining risk registers.
  • Participate in commercial discussions with clients.
  • Participate in service reviews.
  • Partner in commercial support for the Account/Service Management team.
  • Assist in shaping commercial propositions for sell-on business.
  • Participate in opportunity/bid reviews, as needed.
  • Develop and approve all changes to the contract.
  • Provide coaching in preparation for negotiations.
  • Provide commercial training for the delivery team, as agreed with the Infra Commercial team.
  • Advise on general commercial queries.

Core Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the account leadership team, take a key role in the ongoing development of the account to support Capgemini Infrastructure Services business objectives.
  • Maintain and continue to develop the day-to-day commercial process and procedures necessary to support the overall account strategies.
  • Day-to-day responsibility for resolving all issues related to contracts, including changes, clarifications, and additions.
  • Assist with managing complex sales opportunities (bids, RFPs, RFQs).
  • Face off to the client commercial/legal lead and team members.
  • Face off to other Capgemini third-party commercial leads.
  • Face off to other third-party suppliers as necessary to support the delivery of services.
  • Identify and highlight commercial risks to the Account Management Team and assist with actions to address/resolve.

Requirements:

Technologies Used:

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of contract management in a large, complex, and matrixed environment.
  • Detailed understanding of key legal and commercial principles and obligations found in outsourcing contracts.
  • Broad experience of IT service delivery and/or sales in complex environments.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, including the ability to negotiate and cope in difficult situations.
  • Experience of client-facing negotiations at senior levels.
  • Track record of dealing with complex commercial and legal issues.
  • Strong numeracy, including understanding of finances and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Proactive problem solver and able to think laterally.
  • Heavily client-facing, with mobility required to accommodate customer needs and experience of working on client site.

Personal Qualities:

  • Flexible and mobile, with the ability to travel.
  • Strong team player, able to build and maintain strategic working relationships.
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral English skills, in addition to fluency in the local language.
