The Heavy Civil Division specializes in engineering services focused on the assessment, restoration, and enhancement of various compromised or underperforming structures, alongside the new design of construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in the ongoing development of a broad spectrum of geotechnical, geo-structural, and construction engineering services within SGH. Responsibilities will include conducting geotechnical and geo-structural analyses, preparing technical drawings and specifications, researching engineering issues, drafting reports, conducting site visits, and overseeing construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct various engineering analyses and designs related to deep and shallow foundations, earth retaining structures, excavation support systems, soil settlement, slope stability, soil dynamics, groundwater flow, and other related areas.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating field and laboratory services for diverse project types, including new designs and forensic investigations.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports.
  • Contribute to the creation of drawings and project specifications appropriate for construction.
  • Engage in construction administration and monitoring tasks.
  • Help prepare project scopes, schedules, and budgets for proposals.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with a focus on Geotechnical or Geo-Structural Engineering.
  • Exceptional communication skills: proficient in written, oral, and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly convey information to clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: capable of addressing both minor and complex issues using data, logic, and sound judgment.
  • Team-oriented approach: ability to collaborate effectively with others towards shared objectives.
  • Accountability and responsibility: commitment to meeting deadlines and taking initiative to ensure task completion.
  • Passion for continuous learning and development of new ideas and concepts.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Willingness to travel for project assignments as needed.
  • FE/EIT certification is preferred.
