Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with researchers to acquire and integrate outcomes data from multiple sources.
  • Assess the validity of results and ensure data quality.
  • Participate in the review and analysis of study data.
  • Coordinate the use of genomic data by collaborating institutions and link it to baseline, follow-up, and outcomes data.
  • Prepare materials for peer-reviewed publications and reports.
  • Conduct literature reviews and oversee the integration of new references into the project database.
  • Train and guide research staff in data management techniques and other research procedures.
  • Collect and supervise the collection of data from collaborators.
  • Assist in writing research protocols and monitoring compliance.
  • Ensure the maintenance of electronic equipment and backup procedures.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and design tasks for laboratory personnel.
  • Plan meetings and activities with collaborators.
  • May assist in explaining study procedures to subjects and obtaining informed consent.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, quantitative methods, public health, biomedical science, or a related field, plus one year of related research experience.
  • Or a Bachelor's degree with a major or concentration in one of the above fields, plus two years of related research experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAS Software or extensive experience in computer programming with R, Python, or other computer languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior research experience, especially in epidemiology, public health, or quantitative social science.
  • Flexibility of hours.
Equipment Utilized
  • Must possess own vehicle or alternative means of transportation.
  • May be involved in transporting frozen specimens.
  • This position may require some weekend or evening hours.
