About the Role
- As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with patients to develop, recover, or maintain their daily living and work skills.
- You will provide effective and client-centered services that enable individuals to perform everyday tasks confidently and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Select and adapt occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to meet individual patient needs.
- Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
- Assess home and other environments and advise on necessary alterations.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients in its use.
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
- Monitor progress towards long- and short-term treatment goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as an occupational therapist.
- Excellent knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Familiarity with ADL evaluation tools.
- Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
- Current knowledge of treatment practices and a commitment to ongoing learning and growth.
- Professional behavior and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy.
What We Offer
A competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
