Job OverviewResilient Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in developing, recovering, or maintaining the daily living and work skills of individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans to support their engagement in occupations that impact their health, well-being, and quality of life.
- Select and adapt occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to ensure effective interventions.
- Apply evidence-based practices to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Educate clients on how to break down complex tasks into manageable components and provide them with the necessary skills and strategies to achieve independence.
- Collaborate with clients, family members, and caregivers to develop a comprehensive understanding of their needs and goals.
- Conduct home and environmental assessments to identify potential barriers and provide recommendations for modifications and adaptations.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients on its use to enhance their functional abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, including data collection and documentation of treatment processes and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
- A valid license to practice occupational therapy.
- A BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
- Proven experience as an occupational therapist, with a strong foundation in principles and practices of occupational therapy.
- Excellent knowledge of ADL evaluation tools, such as the Katz ADL scale and Lawton IADL scale.
- Demonstrated ability to manage patients with diverse personalities and needs.
- Current knowledge of treatment practices and a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
