Job Summary

Summers-Taylor, Inc. is seeking a skilled Certified Crane Operator to join our team in the Tri-Cities area. As a key member of our heavy construction team, you will be responsible for operating heavy crane equipment in a safe and efficient manner at highway and civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate crane equipment to lift and move materials and other objects
  • Plan and execute lifts, using capacity charts and ensuring safe working practices
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance on crane equipment
  • Respond to instructions and take action to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property
  • Monitor boom angle and drum rotation indicators, and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of crane operating experience, with bridge construction experience preferred
  • Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record and current DOT physical card
  • CIC, NCCO, or equivalent OSHA-approved crane certification
  • Ability to climb ladders, stand and walk on uneven surfaces, and sit for long periods
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
