We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Actalent. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for assisting in the collection of blood and other specimens from patients, as well as performing various laboratory duties.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other specimens from patients using venipuncture and other techniques
- Label and process specimens according to established procedures
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% correctness
- Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
- Attend annual department training and answer telephone calls
- 2 years of true Hospital or Clinic experience (donor sites do not count)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel to various locations for vacation coverage
