Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, supervising nursing assistants, and ensuring that all nursing activities are performed in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing physical assessments, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Supervise and direct nursing assistants in the delivery of resident care, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans, ensuring that all aspects of care are addressed.
- Document resident care and progress in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
- Comply with all facility policies and procedures, including infection control, medication administration, and resident rights.
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Good leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and direct nursing assistants.
- Organized and detailed in work performance, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compliance with Residents Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The ability to work effectively in a team environment, with minimal supervision, is essential.
The Registered Nurse will be required to stand, walk, and move frequently, with occasional lifting, bending, and stooping. The ability to work in a variety of environments, including resident rooms, common areas, and administrative offices, is also required.
The Registered Nurse will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times, ensuring the security and integrity of resident information.
The Registered Nurse will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with occasional weekends and holidays.
The Registered Nurse will be expected to participate in ongoing education and training, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in nursing practice and resident care.
