Position Summary

The Lead Project Technician plays a crucial role in overseeing the installation and repair of various water and septic systems for both residential and commercial clients. The Lead Project Technician works closely with the Project Supervisor and maintains direct interactions with customers, necessitating strong customer service capabilities.

  • CDL A: Required (candidates with CDL B are encouraged to apply if willing to upgrade)

Core Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety protocols and implement safe work practices in compliance with company and DOT regulations.
  • Prepare for service assignments to enhance operational efficiency, including vehicle and equipment readiness.
  • Identify and document any defective components or hazardous conditions on service orders, providing maintenance recommendations to clients.
  • Timely completion and submission of service documentation and quotes to management.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls.
  • Advise clients on appropriate maintenance service intervals.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and non-hazardous fumes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Frequent customer engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting various documents, including safety guidelines and operational instructions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, while also providing leadership.
  • Capable of performing under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email and internet navigation.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Background in pipeline, septic, or sewer repair.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • At least one year of professional driving experience in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and physical examination.
  • Possession of a valid CDL.
