Job Summary:

The Shelby County Clinical Nurse Monitor will be responsible for ensuring the contracted Inmate Health Care provider meets all applicable medical and mental health services standards at the detention and correctional facilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and evaluate clinical performance of the contracted healthcare provider.
  2. Ensure compliance with staffing levels, clinical performance, and standards in accordance with detention and correctional accreditation.
  3. Monitor quality improvement activities and provide clinical performance reports.
  4. Investigate clinical issues and concerns.
  5. Evaluate and document data for clinical services monitoring reports.

Requirements:

  • Four (4) years of nursing experience as a registered nurse or psychiatric nurse.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current nursing license, in good standing with the State Licensing Board.
  • Experience working with electronic health records.
