Job Summary

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Acadia Healthcare Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of patients and providing a positive, supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include patient observation, rounding, and oversight of patient rooms to maintain cleanliness and organization. You will also assist with transferring, lifting, and turning patients, as well as obtain vital signs, height, and weight as assigned. Additionally, you will engage with patients in activities designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals and reinforce skills learned from nurses, physicians, and therapists. Your duties will also include ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and privacy, as well as performing related CNA duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving patients. You will provide transfer or transportation for patients as required and adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards for patient care. Furthermore, you will collaborate with other staff to work with the population of the facility to treat and rehabilitate patients. Your positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers will be essential in recognizing patient safety as a top priority and communicating clearly and effectively with patients, family members, guests, and other members of the healthcare team.
