POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Manager holds a pivotal role in overseeing the administrative and operational functions of designated departments. This includes the management of financial resources, human capital, operational processes, quality assurance, clinical outcomes, and ensuring satisfaction among patients, physicians, and staff. The position also involves leading change management initiatives and fulfilling any other pertinent responsibilities associated with this role.
As a member of the management team, the Clinical Manager contributes to the Shared Governance Model, which is dedicated to advancing the mission, vision, and values of Piedmont Macon Medical Center. This role emphasizes a patient-centered approach, promoting services that prioritize both patients and their families throughout the care continuum while enhancing outcomes that deliver value.
Key responsibilities include succession planning, talent identification, and providing necessary support, education, and resources to cultivate future leaders in nursing. The Clinical Manager may also be called upon to assist with staffing to ensure clinical care is delivered effectively to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in either a hospital (inpatient) or clinical (outpatient) environment, with at least one (1) year in a leadership capacity is essential. Proven clinical proficiency in the relevant specialty area is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Advanced certification in the specialty area (if applicable) is advantageous. BLS certification is mandatory.
