POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Aquatic Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons at our aquatic facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor activities within the pool area and enforce safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee pool activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations; provide guidance to swimmers regarding safe practices and conditions.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR as necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the pool area and safety equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks to support the efficient operation of the facility.
  • Be available to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses to perform lifeguarding duties.
  • Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance in the workplace.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations as outlined by OSHA and other governing bodies.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the overall mission of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. A typical qualification may include:

- Completion of secondary education or equivalent, along with relevant work experience.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Current certifications in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR for adults, children, and infants are mandatory.

EQUIPMENT USED:
Familiarity with pool maintenance tools and lifesaving equipment is essential.
