Work Schedule: 11am-8pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Support the EHS manager in enhancing and implementing safety practices and procedures. Ensure consistent policy communication across all sites.

· Advise on the incident reports completed by the logistics and operations teams. Recommend corrective actions for accidents, incidents, and near-misses.

· Conduct regular site assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies, addressing any discrepancies and recommend corrective measures.

· Organize and support safety committee meetings. Guide discussions with the operations & logistics team to ensure actionable outcomes.

· Maintain safety documentation, including updating SDS manuals and the OSHA 300 log for all sites.

· Stay current with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and related governmental codes and regulations.

· Support HR Manager with all other safety-related tasks as needed.

· Take care of our most important asset, our employees; be the key point of contact for workers, clinics and adjusters for all questions related to workers compensation claims and injuries.

· Assist safety team in injury reports, accident investigations, OSHA investigations etc.

· Maintain accurate claim information

· Compile reports as needed

· Communicate with providers, and vendors regarding claims issues and status.

· Assist in injury reporting, accident investigations, OSHA investigations etc.

· Will coordinate FMLA, leaves and Worker’s comp. leave.

· Run weekly/monthly reports and support other HR functions as needed.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.



Required Skills/Abilities:

· Knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness.

· Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

· Ability to conduct training.



Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.

· At least 4 years’ safety experience required.

· Workers Compensation and FMLA Experience.



Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.

· Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.
