Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance library services, collections, and technology, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
  • Lead a team of librarians and staff, promoting a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Cultivate partnerships with academic departments, faculty, and university leadership to integrate library resources and information literacy into the curriculum.
  • Manage the library budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in academic librarianship, scholarly communication, and higher education, applying this knowledge to drive library innovation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Library Science or related field, with a strong understanding of academic librarianship and higher education.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of successful team leadership and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with budget management, assessment, and emerging technologies in a library setting.
