Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lead Security Architect to become a vital part of a dynamic team dedicated to supporting a government entity. This role necessitates 5 days in the office, situated in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), facilitating their technological processes, applications, and project initiatives.
  • Develop and revise procedural and technical documentation concerning lifecycle management, configuration, and STIG compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with other cryptographic teams to identify optimal solutions involving HSM technologies.
  • Conduct and lead encryption key ceremonies in the capacity of a key security officer.
  • Evaluate and document new iterations of HSM hardware and firmware.
  • Revise plans and programs in response to modifications in internal and industry standards as well as regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of expertise in symmetric and asymmetric cryptography principles and technologies.
  • 8+ years in the domain of encryption and key management security.
  • 5+ years managing Utimaco and Thales HSMs.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols.
  • 3+ years of experience conducting encryption key ceremonies as a key security officer.
  • Compliance with DoD 8140/8570 IAT level II standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $165,000-$225,000
