Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular and scheduled upkeep of swimming pools and associated facilities.
  • Thoroughly cleanse pool surfaces, including skimming to eliminate debris.
  • Maintain and clean filters to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Evaluate chemical levels and water quality, adjusting chemicals as necessary to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
  • Vacuum pool floors and scrub walls and tiles to prevent algae growth and ensure cleanliness.
  • Inspect pool equipment and systems for any signs of wear, leaks, or malfunctions.
  • Document maintenance activities and any irregularities observed during inspections.
  • Address and resolve minor maintenance issues, escalating more complex problems to senior personnel.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with the seasonal opening and closing of pools in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional service and technical guidance to colleagues and clients regarding pool maintenance and care.
  • Engage in training and certification programs to stay updated on techniques and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
  • No prior experience as a pool technician is required; training will be provided on water chemistry, testing, and chemical handling.
  • Ability to manage a physical workload, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in pool maintenance is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; owning a truck is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting to management and interacting with clients professionally.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and sanitation.
