Automation Engineer

Oxford Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to lead the development and implementation of automation control systems for industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement process control engineering solutions, including specification, engineering, configuration, and startup for automation control systems.
  • Develop and implement automation control strategies to optimize industrial processes, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and electrical drawings to inform automation control system design.
  • Configure and program automation control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems, to meet project specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation control systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an automation programming position, with a strong proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs and electrical drawings.
  • Extensive experience with automation control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to travel as needed for project implementation and support.
