Job Summary
The Speech Therapist provides evaluations and treatments to patients to improve their communicative functions. This role involves working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and educating patients and their families for enhanced recovery.
Essential Duties
This position requires an individual with strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. The Speech Therapist evaluates patients based on departmental standards, conducts and modifies evaluations, treats patients with therapeutic techniques, administers physical agents and manual therapeutic technique, educates patients/families, determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment, and recommends discharge if appropriate.
