Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Physical Medicine department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients with complex diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address patient needs.
  • Provide patient education and training to promote independence and self-management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and peer reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education requirements and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Assist with student and community education initiatives.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience working with patients with neurological conditions.
  • Specialty certification and/or advanced degree preferred.
  • Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification and CPR certification required.

Working Conditions:

  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills required.
  • Significant occupational risk and physical effort involved.
  • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
