Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with complex diagnoses.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and procedures to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families to promote independence and self-management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
- Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Initiate discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition of care.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members and students.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Minimum three years of experience working with patients with neurological conditions.
- Specialty certification and/or advanced degree preferred.
- Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification and CPR certification required.
This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. The physical therapist will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste. The ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force is necessary.
