Job Title: Private Banking Relationship Manager

Civista Bank is seeking a highly skilled Private Banking Relationship Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Private Banking department, you will be responsible for managing and growing long-term profitable relationships with high-net worth individuals, medical professionals, and emerging affluent clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand the needs of wealthy clients and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and addressing their comprehensive holistic needs.
  • Open, close, and service client deposit accounts, coordinate client requests for products and services, and sell investment products.
  • Confidentially manage daily client transactions and inquiries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide high-quality service to Private Banking clients, monitoring and maintaining client accounts across complex structures and various products.
  • Identify and execute cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, using deep knowledge of the relationship and available sales tools.
  • Resolve client problems and other duties as needed.
  • Monitor and manage existing credit relationships.
  • Build and maintain lifelong client relationships with a certain number of high-net-worth individuals.
  • Prospect and acquire new clients, developing internal and external referral sources to cultivate prospect opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with internal clients, including mortgage/consumer/commercial lenders, business bankers, branch leaders, and wealth managers.
  • Attend sales team meetings and refer clients to trust and investment management departments as needed.
  • Research, follow-up, and resolve client inquiries and issues through effective interaction with clients, advisors, product partners, and staff.
  • Work within a team environment to provide optimal client service.
  • Develop relationships with external COIs, including attorneys, CPAs, physician recruiters, medical professionals, real estate agents, and other professionals.
  • Represent the Bank at community civic club and service club events.
  • Develop a Business Plan to achieve yearly and quarterly new client, lending, and wealth goals.
  • Track client, prospect, internal customer, and internal customer interaction and pertinent information in Salesforce.
Requirements:
  • Five years of retail banking experience, with additional experience in sales or marketing, trust department products, and consumer lending products preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or equivalent work experience; additional training provided by financial institution.
  • Series 7 registered representative and Series 63 brokerage licenses preferred.
  • Excellent relationship management, client service, and communication skills, with a strong entrepreneurial orientation.
  • Strong sales experience, with experience dealing with public accounting and law firms helpful.
  • Good knowledge of consumer banking, credit, and business banking services, with basic experience handling trusts, investments, tax insurance, real estate management, estate planning, and financial planning.
  • Solid computer literacy, with accurate data entry skills and proficiency in using specific software required for the position.
  • A high level of initiative, thoroughness, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, and a high level of confidentiality required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with varied deadlines.
