Job Summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Coordinator to provide technical support and project oversight of projects in our Hammond IN office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, technical knowledge, and field experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute design activities for assigned projects, including self-execution and leading project teams.
  • Schedule, organize, and direct engineers, designers, and subcontractors to complete project activities.
  • Prepare scopes of work, project schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Lead internal and external quality and design review meetings.
  • Confirm technical standards/specifications are applied on projects.
  • Manage existing client relationships within the Hammond region.

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years of experience in the Utility industry or other heavy industrial engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and project control principles.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must pass a post-offer drug and alcohol test.

Preferred Requirements:

  • PMP Certification.
  • Successful experience in leadership roles managing engineering and design teams.
