ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- As of January 1, 2013, all new hires must possess a BSN degree or must commit in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from the date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
- Valid Michigan Nursing License
- BLS Certification
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Understanding of nursing theory, practice, and age-specific requirements
- Interpersonal abilities necessary to establish and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
- Critical thinking capabilities essential for executing primary duties and responsibilities outlined in the job description.
- Capacity to focus and pay meticulous attention to detail when planning and delivering professional nursing care.
