We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and ensuring their safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:- Provide daily care and health needs to residents, including assessments and documentation of their health.
- Supervise and perform routine skills and procedures to ensure quality care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintaining up-to-date nursing care plans and documenting progress.
- Make daily and periodic visits to observe for symptoms, reactions to medication, and/or treatment.
- Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements, and replacements, cultures, etc.
- Assist with the orientation and on-going training of staff to ensure required skill levels are maintained.
- Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations according to facility policy and procedure.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid LPN License in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.
- Thorough understanding of the principles of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of programs such as Excel and Word.
- Personal integrity and ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and personnel.
