JOB SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care to patients in accordance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act and established Standards of Practice. The RN is responsible for developing, implementing, and revising the care plan based on the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and their families. This role involves assessing patients for changes that may impede recovery and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care delivery. The RN maintains clinical knowledge and skills to facilitate patient care in alignment with current practice standards, ensuring a safe environment for patient care.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure with the Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Emergency Services or 3-5 years in other acute care settings preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • PALS and Hazmat certifications within one year of hire.
  • Certification in Emergency Nursing is preferred.
  • Completion of orientation as per policy/procedures.

UNIT DETAILS:

The Emergency Department at LifeBridge Health features a modern design with advanced technology and amenities for emergency care. Patients and visitors will experience a spacious and well-lit environment with comfortable waiting areas. The department includes numerous private treatment rooms, strategically designed for optimal patient care. Collaborative efforts among physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals ensure personalized care plans for each patient. The facility is equipped with negative pressure rooms for the isolation of infectious diseases and includes a specialized area for behavioral health emergencies. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including a CT Scanner, is available for early detection of critical conditions.
