JOB SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act and established Standards of Practice. This role involves developing, implementing, assessing, and modifying care plans based on the physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and their families. The RN is responsible for monitoring patient progress and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care delivery. Maintaining clinical proficiency and a safe environment for patient care is paramount.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure with the Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Emergency Services or 3-5 years in other acute care settings is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • PALS and Hazmat certifications are required within one year of hire.
  • Certification in Emergency Nursing is preferred.
  • Completion of orientation in accordance with policies and procedures.

UNIT DETAILS:

The Emergency Department at LifeBridge Health is designed with 17,000 square feet of advanced technology and amenities for emergency care. Patients and visitors will experience a spacious and well-lit environment with a comfortable waiting area. The department features twenty-nine private treatment rooms, ensuring a collaborative approach among physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care. Isolation rooms are available for infectious disease management, and a specialized pod for behavioral health crises is included. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, such as the latest CT Scanner, is utilized for timely diagnosis of critical conditions.
