Position Summary:
The Home Health Aide (HHA) delivers a range of personal care and homemaking services to clients according to a structured care plan, enabling them to remain in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care:
    • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, skin/nail care, back care, foot care, oral hygiene, mobility assistance, exercise, equipment usage, toileting, meal planning, preparation, and feeding support.
  • Companionship and Household Management:
    • Provide companionship and respite services for families.
    • Perform household chores including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Medication Reminders:
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Completion of a state-recognized Home Health Aide training program.
  • At least six months of experience as a Home Health Aide.
  • Good standing on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Achieve a minimum of 80% on the competency examination and pass the DEARS Ethics assessment.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Valid driver's license and access to insured transportation.
