Procurement Specialist

As a Buyer/Planner at MHI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely acquisition of parts and materials needed to service customer aircraft. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and forecast part and material requirements, coordinating with internal and external suppliers and materials personnel to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and forecast part and material requirements to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Coordinate with internal and external suppliers to acquire parts and materials.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with sales team, owners, and other departments.
- Manage inventory levels and optimize stockroom operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Typically, 3 years of experience in aviation or material/parts environment or other demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with sales team, owners, and other departments.
- Typically, 1-year experience in inventory planning and procurement.
- APICS certification (preferred).
- Training or equivalent experience with an MRP system.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
- High Diploma or equivalent.
- Continuous improvement program experience (preferred).
- Experience with Excel.
