About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our medical team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and providing a positive experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations and patient assessments to identify health issues and develop treatment plans.
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare and assist with dental procedures, radiology, and laboratory work to provide comprehensive care.
  • Administer medications and perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals and support their recovery.
Requirements
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of animal health and medical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
