Position Overview:

The Design & Construction division is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst specializing in construction finance. This role is pivotal in delivering financial management and analytical support for all capital construction initiatives, including high-level board projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, compile, and assess financial data related to Design and Construction projects.
  • Operate under the guidance of the VP for Design and Construction, exercising significant independence and initiative.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and address inquiries to clarify budget discrepancies.
  • Conduct forward-looking financial assessments to ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track funding for all capital and operational projects, ensuring financial plans are current.
  • Perform financial evaluations for capital construction projects exceeding $5 million, alongside cash flow assessments.
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of financial and operational metrics to support various project objectives, including benchmarking and cost justification for proposed capital projects.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience managing financial and budgetary processes in a healthcare environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with budget management and general ledger systems is necessary.
  • Experience in developing cost accounting systems is advantageous.

  • Ability to critically analyze data and derive actionable insights.

Compensation:

In alignment with U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude provides a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position, which is between $78,000 and $139,360 annually.
